REVIEW*
This is simply one of the greatest ever albums in any genre, never mind just reggae.
Search out the version issued by the inestimable Blood & Fire Records. Extended versions of the tracks, additional tracks plus a second CD of alternative mixes and dubs. Over an hour and a half of music. All brilliantly remastered and exquisitely packaged.
This is Lee Perry at the height of his powers in the Black Ark studio. Beautiful harmonies, a real steaming jungle mix full of off-kilter noises and strange half-heard sounds. And some great conscious roots songs.
If you only ever buy one reggae album in your life - this is the one to buy.
