Reggae Rider (Asher, 2000 [orig. released 1993?])

Ken Bob is a veteran singer who, though not a household name (In 2004, he joined the revamped lineup of the African Brothers.), should always be remembered for his enduring, evocative classic "In Danger" (also available on Reggae's Greatest Hits Volume 2).  Reggae Rider, the only album I've been able to find from him, was recorded several years after "In Danger" (I'm estimating the timing to be the mid-'90s, based on the sound.), although Bob includes an inferior but still effective remake of it here.  While seemingly cheaply put together, Reggae Rider showcases Bob's  talent for crafting catchy, soulful pop melodies that overcome mediocre production values.  "The Rain Kept Me Away", "Storm Tonight", "Lovely Lady", and the more rootsy "Chapter a Day" are all likeable lovers/light dancehall jams that should appeal to Beres Hammond fans.  Only the horrifically generic dancehall of the title track (and its "mix") truly fall flat.
