Liberation (Shanachie, 1991 [orig. released 1984])

You might remember Sonny Okosun (or Okosuns) from his hit "Fire in Soweto," featured on the compilations Black Star Liner, Fly African Eagle, and Reggae Over Africa.  You might be interested in hearing more roots reggae from this Nigerian superstar.  You might buy Liberation.  You might be very, very disappointed.  This album contains Afro-pop, not reggae.  If Afro-pop is your cup o' tea, Liberation may be right up your alley, but this buoyant, up-tempo style  makes my teeth hurt.
