Strictly the Best Volume 13 (VP, 1994) One of the more consistent of the DJ sets in the Strictly the Best series, Volume 13 features an especially large amount of well-known tunes, from Buju Banton's "Champion" to Capleton's "Tour" to Louie Culture's "Ganga Lee" to Bounty Killer's "Down in the Ghetto." Of course, "Tour" is the best, with its classic dynamic rhythm. Aside from that, nothing is great, but very likeable are Terror Fabulous' "Old Dog," Silver Cat's slackness-filled "Fowl Affair," Spragga Benz & Wayne Wonder's take on Babyface's "Never Keeping Secrets," and Jigsy King & Tony Curtis' "Any Man Yu Want." |
