The Uniques (Jet Star, 2006?)

*GUEST REVIEW*
It is unusual for me to be so scathingly critical of an album, but I feel that I must. First of all, this is not really by The Uniques. Do not be deceived by the young faces on the cover; only one of these youthful faces (possibly the one that is not so youthful) was an original member of The Uniques. So what we get is a tired, strained and old voice. The instrumentation on this album is truly awful, consisting of the worst that digital reggae has to offer. The vocals are all boring, and I must say somewhat useless. I am not saying that The Uniques are a bad group. They were amazing. But we must remember, this is not The Uniques. This is one of those unexplainable, peculiar yet charming manifestations of reggae music.
